Enrique Zofío Dávila (c.1840-1915), a Spanish painter and sculptor, one of the most important of his time, and Cesáreo Fernández Losada (1831–1911), a Spanish military doctor, created together several anatomical models, representing various diseases, including venereal diseases, tuberculosis and epidemic diseases. They also dedicated themselves to the creation of anatomical models for obstetrics, with an emphasis on the positions of the fetus and the obstetric maneuvers for its extraction.

Learn more about the obstetric models in the Casa Hermes Foundation collection through Amaya Maruri, Conservator and Restorer of the Olavide Museum, at the Faculty of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid, dedicated to the History of Medicine, and which brings together one of Zofío Dávila’s most important collections.
