NUTRIR – the Food Literacy Programme – was launched today. This initiative by the Casa Hermes Foundation brings health education to primary schools.
Diet plays a crucial role in health throughout life — and it is during childhood that the habits which will shape that health are formed. However, childhood overweight and obesity remain one of the main public health challenges, appearing at an increasingly early age and impacting future well-being and quality of life.
It is against this backdrop that NUTRIR was created: a programme that promotes knowledge, autonomy and more conscious food choices, through a simple, practical and scientifically informed approach.
Educating today to transform tomorrow.
NUTRIR – School Food Literacy Programme is the result of a partnership between the Casa Hermes Foundation, NOVA Medical School and Costa Nova.
