The Casa Hermes Foundation in Aveiro will host the second edition of the intensive course “Scientific Photography Collections: From Identification to Preservation”, organised by the NOVA School of Science and Technology as part of its executive training programme.
Of a practical nature, this training will be led by Élia Roldão (NOVA FCT DCR) and focuses on the identification, diagnosis and preservation of scientific photography within a collection context, using methodologies tailored to different photographic types.
Aimed at professionals and researchers in the fields of culture, science, museology and heritage, this course offers an opportunity to deepen skills in a specialised and increasingly valued field.
This initiative stems from a partnership between the Casa Hermes Foundation and EPPIC, NOVA FCT’s study and preservation group for industrial and scientific heritage, reinforcing their joint commitment to the enhancement of scientific heritage and the promotion of knowledge.
