Intensive Course | Scientific Photography Collections: From Identification to Preservation (Photo C)

On 25 and 26 June 2026, the Casa Hermes Foundation will host this theoretical and practical course from NOVA Faculty of Science and Technology, developed in partnership with LIBPhys – Laboratory of Instrumentation, Biomedical Engineering and Radiation Physics.

The Casa Hermes Foundation and LIBPhys are partners in the research, conservation and restoration of the Foundation’s medical-scientific collection, and this course is a continuation of that joint work.

Over two days, methodologies for the identification, diagnosis and preservation of scientific photography collections will be addressed, with specific techniques for each type of photographic species.
