The Casa Hermes Foundation and the Laboratory of Instrumentation in Biomedical Engineering and Radiation Physics of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (LIBPhys-UNL of NOVA FCH) established a partnership today, with the purpose of promoting institutional and technical cooperation and jointly carrying out activities of an academic, scientific and cultural nature in areas of common interest and within the scope of their respective competences.

The agreement provides for the execution of technical activities, resulting from collaboration between the parties, for the material, technological and conservation study of the movable heritage of the Fundação Casa Hermes collection.

One of the missions of LIBPhys-UNL of NOVA FCT is to develop and apply analytical techniques for the material and technological study of Cultural Heritage, in particular Scientific, Technical and Industrial Heritage, contributing to its conservation and safeguarding.

Our thanks to Professor José Paulo Moreira dos Santos, Deputy Director of the Scientific Council of NOVA FCT and Director of the LIBPhys Research Unit, and to Professor Isabel Tissot, researcher at LIBPhys-UNL, for the opportunity. It is a decisive and highly prestigious support for the Fundação Casa Hermes collection.
