Developed by Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Casa Hermes in partnership with ITAU \u2013 Instituto T\u00e9cnico de Alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o Humana (Technical Institute of Human Nutrition), Cultura que Cuida (Culture that Cares) is a programme dedicated to older people, placing culture, creativity and human relations at the service of care, well-being and active ageing.<\/p>\n
Launched on 31 October, this project promotes regular meetings at Skope \u2013 Museum of Medicine and Health and already has 96 participants, a clear sign of the community’s support and the relevance of this programme. Each session is carefully designed to stimulate thinking, strengthen relationships and promote well-being through culture.<\/p>\n
The sessions are based on fundamental pillars:
\n\ud83e\udde0 Memory and sharing, through stories, objects and personal experiences;
\n\ud83c\udfa8 Creativity and expression, with artistic workshops and cultural activities;
\n\ud83e\udd1d Socialising and relationships, combating isolation and promoting social participation;
\n\ud83d\udc9a Emotional wellbeing, integrating culture as a form of care \u2014 known as cultural prescription.<\/p>\n
Throughout the various sessions held, which have already involved 96 participants, there have been moments of great involvement, joy and closeness, reinforcing the value of this project in promoting active ageing and creating meaningful bonds between participants.<\/p>\n
